Delbert was my supervisor for many years at Clarks chemical plant. I also considered him a friend and I'm sure I was not the only one who did, who worked there. My son was in his boy scout troop for many years. He was from the "old school", a real gentleman and wonderful person. Sorry for your loss.

I did not know Del personally, but enjoyed his humor on those tour bus rides when we went on a few of the ww2 reunions. My hope is Del, my dad and all the other vets are enjoying another reunion together. He will be missed, my condolences to your family.

Dear Gibson family. My name is Michael Messina I am an Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 782. Like so many of us Mr. Gibson was a great friend and mentor to me. He was a big part in my achieving the rank of Eagle, and great inspiration in my decision to continue in scouting as a Scout Master some 29 years later, as I continue to teach my scouts as he taught me. Mr. Gibson will be missed, but I will always remember him with great respect, gratitude, and fondness.
God Bless your family.

Mr. Gibson was my Boy Scout leader at Troop 782. He was a great man that influenced the lives of many young Boy Scouts. I remember spending two-weeks every Summer at Owasippe Boy Scout Reservation in Michigan, many weekend camping trips, pancake breakfasts, paper drives, and Monday night meetings.
I look back on those days as some of the best of my life. Thank you Mr. Gibson, I attribute my success in life to the lessons you taught me as a Boy Scout, you were a role model to many. Rest easy, you'll be missed.

What a dear and precious man he was! He and Polly were two of the kindest, most generous people I ever met and Mr. Gibson is fondly remembered by me with great affection. I send prayers for the family.
