Obituary of Joan D. Slotwinski

Joan D. Slotwinski nee Nietupski, 83, of Blue Island, loving wife of the late Joseph, beloved sister of Virginia A. Topolski and the late Thomas J., special mother and grandmother to Janet Golinvaux and her sons Joseph, Robert and Nick, dear cousin of Aurelia, Sr. Barbara and the late Sr. Dolores, second cousin of Stacy and Susan. Special thanks to DuPage Oncology of Tinley Park (Little Company of Mary Hospice Angels) and Blue Island Fire Department. Joan has resided in Blue Island since 1995, she was formerly employed by Union Special Sewing Machine Company of Chicago. She was a member of St. Benedict Womens' Club, Blue Island Eagles #1332 Auxiliary, American Legion Unit #1156 Auxiliary, Polish Legion of American Veterans Member Chapter 24 and Blue Island Historical Society. Memorial visitation for Joan will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017, from 9:30 am until time of memorial mass at 10:30 am at St. Benedict Church, 2339 York St., Blue Island. Private interment of cremains Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations St. Benedict Church, greatly appreciated.
