Obituary of Robert G. Bailey

Robert G. Bailey, 66, of Glenwood, passed from this life Thursday, June 20, 2019. He is the beloved husband of Monica A. nee Bradley. The couple were united in marriage on July 1, 1977. Robert is the loving father of Anne (Tim Gaughan) Bailey, Matthew (Kristiana) Bailey, Chelsea (J.P. Rosentreter) Bailey and Katie (Kurt) Karner. He is the proud grandfather of Raina, Katie Maeve, Kingston and Wylie. Robert leaves many friends to cherish his memory.

Robert was born August 9, 1952 in Chicago to the late Catherine Elizabeth nee Kelly and Roy Graham Bailey. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his grandkids. Robert was kindhearted and a lover of all animals, including Hazel and Whiskey, along with too many more to mention.  He was a lifelong Democrat and would remind people to "Think before you vote" !  Robert  liked to listen to music, Jethro Tull, being one of his favorites. He would often go to the movies, and he never tired of watching "The Godfather",  and also the TV show  "The Sopranos".   Robert was a devoted Chicago Cubs Fan. "Go Cubbies"!

Visitation for Robert will take place Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Cremation will be private.
