Obituary of Lydia Damian

Lydia Damian nee Garcia, 80, of Blue Island, passed from this life Tuesday, December 31, 2019. Lydia was the beloved wife of the late Bulmaro Damian who passed away August 15, 2003. She is the loving mother of Leticia (Floriberto) Vieyra, Eduardo Damian, Bulmaro (Martha) Damian Jr., Noel (Jacqueline) Damian and Nolberto (Brenda) Damian. Lydia is the devoted grandmother of Miguel (Eliana), Daniel(Mirella Bravo), Veronica (Alfredo Galvan), Bulmaro III (Stephanie), Alex, Joshua, Diego, Emily, Ellah and Lionel, and the proud great grandmother of Xavi, Maxx, Mason and Liliana. She is the dear sister of Alejandro Jr., Demetrio, Norberto, Guadalupe and the late Max. Lydia was born February 6, 1939 in Harlingen, Texas to the late Maria nee Montalvo and Encarnacion Garcia.She has been a resident of Blue Island since the age of three. Lydia and Bulmaro were united in marriage on February 3, 1961. She was formerly employed by St. Francis Hospital for forty-five years. Lydia was a faithful member of St. Benedict Parish. Visitation for Lydia will be held Sunday, January 5, 2020, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Chapel prayers will begin Monday at 9:00 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, then to St. Benedict Church, 2339 York St. for mass at 10:00 am. Cremation will be private.
