Mary Rose was a remarkable woman. She and her late husband Joe made an exceptional couple. Her kindness and opened generosity made you feel welcomed. We shared the same church. Mary Rose unselfishly offered her talents helping the church community. Happy are we to have known her. And now God has an Angel by His side.

In Loving Memory of Mary Rose:
Mary Rose and Joe were an integral part of the St. John Parish family. I just loved them, and everyone who knew them loved them too. They both were so genuinely kind and caring. Their love of one another and their family was always evident ~ and luckily for St. John parishioners, there was plenty for all of us too. I will always remember Mary Rose as a sweet, loving angel, gracing us with her presence and bringing her lovely daughters and grandchildren with her.
May the wonderful memories of a life well lived sustain her beautiful family at this most difficult time and always.
With deepest sympathy, care and prayers, Lori Lucente

My grandmother is Soledad Meza, older sister to Joseph Angel and sister in law to Mary Rose. On behalf of the Meza family in Santa Ana, CA.,I would like to extend our sincerest condolences to all of Mary Rose's loved ones. Both Mary Rose and "Angelito", as my grandma referred to him, visited us in California a few times. Mary Rose was always sweet to my grandma. Her eyes lit up whenever she saw them come in through the door to visit. Even after uncle Joe passed, Mary Rose continued to keep in touch with my grandma, to see how she was doing. My grandma is now very sick, but I know if she were able to, she'd be making sure I wrote that Mary Rose was a lovely lady. Rest In Beautiful Peace, Mary Rose.

Mary Rose and I were parishioners at St. John Church in Glenwood. After Mass one day, a lady approached me and said "I think it is lovely that you and your mother both attend the same church." I was surprised at this comment as my mom had passed away several years ago. Out of curiosity, I asked the lady, "who do you think my mother is?" She replied "Mary Rose." I thought, yes, I could see how she could think that. I shared this story with Mary Rose and we both had a good chuckle about it. After this, we affectionately continued on with the lady's assumption by always greeting each other with "hello mother" and "hello daughter" each time we saw each other.
Mary Rose had a beautiful heart and spirit and I will very much miss seeing her. My sincere prayers and condolences for Mary Rose, her daughters and her family during this difficult time.
Love,
Susan Gates
