Obituary of Charles B. Snow
Charles B. Snow,88, of Palos Park, formerly of Hazel Crest, passed from this life November 3, 2020. He was born September 3, 1932 in Blue Island.
Charlie was the beloved husband of the late Eleanore Snow nee Seyfarth. He was the loving father of the late Jess Ann Kosic, the late Carl Snow, the late Samuel Snow and the late Janet Snow-Godfrey. Charlie is the cherished grandfather of Amy, Elena, Sam Jr., Bradley, Ben and Joe. He is the proud great grandfather of Courtney, Victoria, Zoe, Jane, Charlie, Molly, Sammy, Evelyn and Freya. Charlie was the dear brother of the late Lou Snow and the late Kathy Snow.
Charlie and his late wife Eleanore were high school sweethearts and were fiercely devoted to one another in marriage for 68. They had four amazing children that they raised in Hazel Crest. Charlie is an Air Force Veteran, being stationed for most of his time in service in Sault St. Marie, Michigan. He and Eleanore were devoted Lutherans and were always involved in their church over the years. Charlie was always a part of the choir, and traveled with the Singalings group to bring music to those who could not travel to their places of worship. Charlie spent his early career after his service as an Insurance Salesman, and later retired as a truck driver. He and Eleanore spent most of their vacations over the years traveling to Alaska and since the 1970’s owned a timeshare in Door County, Wisconsin. It was indeed their favorite place to be, no matter the season. Charlie was a loyal friend over the years to many, and could always be counted on for a cup of coffee, or a good joke. Lastly, Charlie was a grandfather of six, and a great great grandfather to eight. He was who we all looked up to, who gave us advice, who told us stories and endless jokes. He lived a life of great love, great loss and great adventure. He will be missed by so many, but never forgotten. He has left a mark on the hearts of his family and all that knew him. He will be buried next to his wife and eldest daughter at Beverly Cemetery, because if you knew Charlie, you would know that people are dying to get in there.
Due to COVID-19 precautions visitation and interment for Charlie will be privately held.
