Obituary of Albina Y. Gonzalez

Albina Y. Gonzalez, 83, of Blue Island, passed from this life Saturday, October 31, 2020. Albina is the beloved mother of Jose Alberto Gonzalez. She is the loving sister of Maria del Pilar Gonzalez, Josefa Gonzalez de Ramos, Laurentina Gonzalez de Avila, Minerva G. Ordonez and Jose Roberto Gonzalez and the dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Albina was born February 28, 1937 in Colombia, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to the late Catarina Escamilla and Jose R. Gonzalez. Albina enjoyed gardening and playing Bingo. She loved spending time with her family and her beloved cat Mona. Visitation for Albina will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2020, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Chapel prayers will begin Wednesday at 9:00 am at Krueger Funeral Home, then to St. Benedict Church, 2339 York St., Blue Island, for mass at 10:00 am. Cremation will be private. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, all precautions must be adhered to and will be enforced. All visitors must have facial coverings and follow social distancing standards of 6 feet. The number of visitors will be monitored and it is requested that you refrain from physical contact. Out of courtesy to all who wish to pay their respects, please keep your time in the chapel brief.
