Obituary of Mary Ann Boras
Mary Ann Boras passed away November 9, 2020 after a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Mary Ann was born April 11, 1956. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward F. Boras and Helen M. (Sulka) Boras. She is survived by her brothers David and Michael and her two cats, Gracie and Benny, and her two dogs, Buster and Moe.
Mary Ann was a loving niece to Don and Mary (Sulka) Brozek, and the late Walter and Genevieve (Biernat) Sulka, John and Jane (Sulka) Dyrek, Frank and Ann (Sulka) Marszalek, Al and Helen (Skomurski) Sulka, Frank and Sophie (Sulka) Salapatek, Edward and Lottie (Boras) Kasprowicz, Leonard and Emily (Boras) Lipinski, Henry and Anna (Fencik) Boras, and loving cousin to many.
Mary Ann was a long time resident of Calumet Park and Blue Island. She attended Seven Holy Founders Grade School, D.D. Eisenhower High School and various colleges before receiving her BA from St. Xavier University. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service after a nearly 35 year career.
Mary Ann loved all animals especially the many dogs and cats that were raised in the Boras family. She is reunited with two of her favorite cats; Max and Clarence. Mary Ann was a generous contributor to various animal charities and shelters. She was an avid reader, who also loved movies and music.
Mary Ann loved a good (fun) argument, and had a wonderful wit. She was very happy and enthusiastic to have voted for change in the 2020 Presidential Election.
Mary Ann fought and raged against the various life's storms until the end.
Her wish for all is Peace, Love, Joy, Hope and Courage and was always reminding folks to be kind to all creatures great and small.

Cremation will be private.
