Obituary of Rebecca Galvan

Rebecca Galvan nee Ordaz, 82, of Blue Island, passed from this life Saturday, November 28, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Pedro C. Galvan, who passed away January 16, 2014. The couple were united in marriage in 1965. Rebecca is the loving mother of Jorge Galvan, Jaime (Lisa) Galvan, Jose Luis (Simone) Galvan, Pedro Galvan Jr., Julio Galvan and Jose De Jesus Galvan. She is the cherished grandmother of Kimberly, Matthew, Brooklyn and London. Rebecca is the dear sister of Josephine (Dan) Phillips, Rudy (Leona) Ordaz and the late Elvira (Rogelio) Moreno and the late Reginald Ordaz. Rebecca was born February 4, 1938 in Blue Island to the late Trinidad nee Huerta and the late Francisco Ordaz. She was a faithful member of St. Benedict Church. Visitation for Rebecca will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 10:00 am until 11:30 am. Interment will take place at St. Benedict Cemetery. If you would like to contribute in Rebecca's memory, direct memorial donations to the charity of your choice in her name. A memorial to celebrate the life of Rebecca will be held at a later date. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, all precautions must be adhered to and will be enforced. All visitors must have facial coverings and follow social distancing standards of 6 feet. The number of visitors will be limited to ten (10) and monitored, it is requested that you refrain from physical contact.
