Obituary of Carole F. Mitchel

Carole Frances Mitchel nee Sill, 87, of Blue Island, passed from this life Saturday, November 28, 2020. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Donald Mitchel. Carole is the cherished mother of Robert (Jeanie) Mitchel, Sandra (Michael) Quinn, Thomas (Denise) Mitchel and Patti Jo Mitchel. Many priceless memories were created by the significant time she spent with her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a devoted daughter and sister. Carole was a loving aunt, relative and friend to many. What Carole enjoyed most was spending time at home with family and friends. She was a woman of immeasurable energy and creativity, always having a list of "things to do". She took action, often in a surprising practical way and led by example. "Never a dull moment" she would jokingly say. A heartfelt thank you to all that have shared fond memories and kind words of sympathy during this difficult time. Due to limitations and restrictions please know that a Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will be planned for the future. Until then, the family encourages you to honor and remember Carole by living each day to the fullest joy.
