Obituary of Miriam R. Andersen

Miriam R. Andersen nee Klocke, 94, of Palos Park, formerly of Blue Island, passed from this life Thursday, January 14, 2021. Miriam was the beloved wife of the late Donald E. Andersen, who passed away April 18, 1968. She is the loving mother of the late Marsha (the late Larry) Hupe, Thomas (Kathy) Andersen, Susan (George) Nugent, Paul (Debbie) Andersen and Leslie (the late Mike) Konsoer. Miriam is the treasured grandmother of Christopher, Jennifer, Sara, Brad, Greg, Katelyn, Don, Jeff, Ken, Melissa, Ali and Brittany. She is the proud great grandmother of twelve. Miriam was the dear sister of the late Ed (the late Dee) Klocke. She leaves many other family members and friends to cherish her memory. Miriam was born April 11, 1926 in Blue Island to the late Charlotte nee Marquardt and the late Ernest John Klocke. She resided in Blue Island nearly her entire life, and then raised her family there as well. Miriam was very active in the community. She was a former member of the St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Blue Island Lioness Club. Miriam was formerly employed in the Worth Township School Treasurer Office. Above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends. Visitation for Miriam will be held Monday, January 18, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12 noon. Interment will take place at First Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in Alsip. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, all precautions must be adhered to and will be enforced. All visitors must have facial coverings and follow social distancing standards of 6 feet. The number of visitors will be limited to ten (10) and monitored, it is requested that you refrain from physical contact.
