Maria "Pilar" Sarli nee Resendez, 88, of Blue Island, passed from this life Sunday, March 14, 2021. Maria is the beloved wife of Alejandro Sarli Jr. She is the devoted mother of Guadalupe (Gloria) Herrera, Arnulfo (Dorothy) Resendez, the late Alejandro Sarli II, Roberto Sarli, Diana (Eliseo) Mendez, Rosalinda (Darrin) Austin, Juan R.(Nohemi) Sarli, Carla (Ruben) Martinez and Alexander Sarli. Maria is the cherished grandmother of Raquel (Ron) Lambert, Isabel (Jesus) Magana, Jorge (Melissa) Herrera, Sara (Dan) Hardy, Arnulfo Resendez Jr., Mayella (Tom) Houghlin, Roberto Sarli Jr., Ricardo I. Sarli, Rosy (Anthony) Morgan, Yesenia (Joshua)Techeira, Tony (Josie) Mendez, Mathias J. Sarli, Nicholas A. Sarli, Jeremiah Sarli, Mariah (Brock) Mannen, Hannah S. Sarli, Eliseo (Sandra) Mendez Jr.III, Josue (Yolanda) Mendez, Moises (Eva) Mendez, Claudia (Chuy) Guzman andLogan Martinez. She is the loving great grandmother of Cristian Magana, Angelica Magana, Arya Magana, Jorge Herrera Jr., Nicholas Herrera, Aliliana Herrera, Amelia Herrera, Amihya Herrera, Isett Resendez, Isabella Holguin, Liliana Holguin, Imani A. Morgan, Ivry Morgan, Levi Techeira, Amina Techeira, Amelia Mendez, AJ Mendez, Hannah Mendez, Israel Mendez, Sofia Mendez, Evelyn Mendez, Eliseo (Maribel) Mendez III, Lissette (Casey) Briones, Josueangel (Jasmine) Mendez, Abner Mendez, Vashti Guzman, Josias Guzman and Leah Guzman and the proud great great grandmother of Elisha Mendez and Victoria Briones. Maria is the dear sister of Rodolfo Resendez and Rosa Serna, preceded in death by eight siblings. Maria was born August 9, 1932 in Mexico to the late Micaela nee Castillo and Gregorio Resendez. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them. Maria loved to prepare delicious meals and also spend time in her garden. She like to play Loteria. Visitation for Maria will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 am at the Krueger Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, all precautions must be adhered to and will be enforced. All visitors must have facial coverings and follow social distancing standards of 6 feet. The number of visitors will be limited to fifty (50) and monitored, it is requested that you refrain from physical contact.
