Obituary of William J. Klinker

William J. Klinker, Blue Island resident since 1961, passed from this life Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the age of 93. Bill is the beloved husband of Helen nee Branson and the loving father of John Klinker, Jim (Jan) Klinker, Teri (Stephen, Captain C.F.D.) McGinnis and Cathy Klinker. He is the cherished grandfather of Matt (Marissa) Klinker, Jack (Brynne) Klinker, Matt (Laura) McGinnis, Molly McGinnis and Stephen McGinnis and the proud great grandfather of Ellie Klinker, Henry Klinker, Emery McGinnis and Maddie McGinnis. Bill is also survived by his dear brother Michael (Carolyn) Klinker. Bill was employed as a Food Technologist for Libby, McNeill and Libby for 26 years and a proud alum of Purdue University in Indiana. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a long time parishioner of St. Walter Church. Bill was a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Blue Island Council #1366 and a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society. A memorial visitation will be held at St. Walter Church, 11741 S. Western Ave., Chicago on Friday, October 29, from 10:00am until 10:45am then followed by a Memorial Mass at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations directed to Francican Outreach are greatly appreciated.
