The whole DeRuiter family loved Carlos and he was a good friend to Viktor. We keep expecting him to come over again to play more YuGiOh or video games with Viktor and Mike too, and laugh at the dogs silliness. Carlos was a loyal friend with a good heart. We all feel sad that we won’t get to see him again on earth.

Carlos was one of the hardest working students I ever had at Shepard. He gave 100% to his studies, friendships, and hobbies. He loved the Art and Gaming Clubs. He was a sincere and kind soul, who was a loyal friend to everyone. He loved his mom and dad so much. I hope they find peace knowing that, and knowing that they raised such a wonderful person.
