Obituary of Maureen S. Cahill

Maureen S. Cahill nee Kysiak, 78, of Blue Island, passed from this life Monday, November 8, 2021. Maureen was born September 5, 1943 in Blue Island to the late Amelia S. nee Somkovic and the late Charles J. Kysiak. She was a retired school teacher, educating children in Burbank and St. Catherine of Genoa, formerly in Roseland. Maureen was a faithful member of St. Benedict Parish and was also a member of the choir. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and friends, preparing delicious meals for them. Maureen also found relaxation in crocheting and gardening. Maureen was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Cahill, who passed away October 24, 1993. She is the loving mother of Kevin J. (Alice) Cahill, Megan M. (Robert) Sepper and Cera J. (Juan Carlos) Chavez. Maureen is the cherished grandmother of Hallie, Elias and Ember. She is the dear sister of Ron (Diane) Kysiak and Daniel (Monica) Kysiak. Maureen leaves many other family members and friends to cherish her memory. Visitation for Maureen will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Prayer service will begin Friday at 9:45 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, then to St. Benedict Church, 2339 York St., Blue Island, for mass at 10:30 am. Interment will take place at St. Benedict Cemetery, Crestwood.
