Obituary of Sheila C. Kaptur

Shelia C. Kaptur nee Lynch, 63, of Alsip, passed from this life November 11, 2021. Shelia was born November 29, 1957 in Chicago to the late Glena nee Walden and the late Mearl Lynch. She was formerly employed as a dispatcher for Alliance Taxi. Shelia loved nothing more than being with family and friends. She had a passion for growing exotic plants and loved to travel. Shelia is the beloved wife of Edward J. Kaptur. She is the loving mother of Shawn (Melissa) Kaptur, Shannon Kaptur, Jaime Kaptur, Joshua Kaptur, Matthew (Gina) Kaptur and Aaron (Lindsey) Kaptur. Shelia is the cherished grandmother of ten and proud great grandmother of one. She was the dear sister of the late Rosemary (late James) Harbin, Sharon (Mark) Sobczak and Michael Lynch. Shelia leaves many other family members and friends to cherish her memory. Visitation for Shelia will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 noon at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Interment will take place at St. Benedict Cemetery in Crestwood.
