Obituary of Donald E. Barton

Donald E. Barton, 48, of Markham, passed from this life Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Donald was born January 29, 1973 in Chicago to Jean nee Moore and Donald (Betty) Baggett. He was the owner and operator of Barton Pest Control Company. Donald loved nothing more than spending time with his beautiful family and friends. He enjoyed music and was an avid sports fan. Donald appreciated social gatherings especially the delicious food. Donald is the beloved husband of Jackie nee Struttmann. He is the adored father of Donavan Barton, Jocelyn Barton and Jahari Jones and the proud grandfather of Sage Hale. Donald is the dear brother of Tommy Townsend, Tolanda Hughes and bonus sister Selina Hatcher. He is the loving son-in-law of Mary Tolmer and Gerald (Lucinda) Struttmann and brother-in-law of Adam Struttmann, Vincent Crump, Cody Crump and Gina Struttmann. Donald is the fond nephew of Shirley, Glenda, Penny, Dena, Marilyn, Larry Moore, Debbie, Johnny and Reggie. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Rosie, Uncle Willie, Uncle Roosevelt, Grandma Bessie, Grandpa William, Aunt Cookie, Aunt Pat, Uncle Charles and Uncle Moose. Donald leaves many other family members and friends to cherish his memory. Visitation for Donald will be held Monday, January 17, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of mass at 12:00 noon at St. Benedict Church, 2339 York St., Blue Island. Interment will take place at Beverly Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a Go Fund Me account.
