Mr. Madrigal was a great guy to us kids (go Elks!) and taught baseball fundamentals, I remember at the end of each practice he would call us all together and review scenarios on a magnetic board. I always followed his teams. He knew more about baseball than most now playing in the majors. Sincere condolences to his family. .

My Uncle Tommy will be forever dear to me. When he would come to Oklahoma we would listen to him play his guitar and we would sing for hours. He always called me catfish after I showed him how to clean one when I was a little girl. We reconnected a few years ago and we so loved talking on the phone for at least an hour at a time. I love you Uncle Tommy.

I grew up calling him Mr. Madrigal and still did to this day. He always had time for us kids. He was our baseball coach and Cub Scout Leader. My deepest sympathies to Bobby, Junee, Kenny, Steve and Jimmy, as well as, the rest of the family. May he Rest In Peace.

I will always always remember how much time you spent sharing your love of the game of baseball when I played on Marchione Electric. Whether it was running scenarios on your wood baseball diamond complete with little plastic players in the back of your van, teaching me to hit in your backyard, or the struggle of getting me to get the glove next to the base to get the runner out on third from a throw from the catcher. I played a few years in high school but spent many more teaching students at my alternative school the game of baseball in PE class. Many had never seen it let alone play. I found myself yelling the same as you “choke up,” “two strikes play a little pepper.” Coaches like you coached future teachers and coaches who will do the same to make this works a little better than we found it. love you Mr. Madrigal. You will be missed by many. Teach the angels how to play now. Neil “Pete” Gonzales
