Obituary of Jennifer Patricia Smith

Jennifer Patricia Smith nee Deegan, 57, of Merrionette Park, passed from this life Saturday, October 1, 2022.

Jennifer is the beloved wife of Roy O. Smith, the couple were united in marriage on April 11, 1999. She is the devoted mother of Stephanie and Teaghan Smith. Jennifer is the cherished daughter of Julie nee Gleason and the late Thomas Deegan and the dear step-daughter of Janice Deegan. She is the loving sister of Christopher Deegan, Aimee Deegan (Rick Lovrich) and Leonie DeRango (James Meador). Jennifer is the caring sister-in-law of Deborah (Gregory) Bordner, Valerie (David) Koch, Cynthia (James) Carroll, Fredrick Smith III, Clinton (Amy) Smith, Todd (Julie) Smith and Stephen Smith. She leaves many other family members and friends to cherish her memory.

Jennifer was born December 4, 1964 in Chicago. She attended Eisenhower High and St. Xavier University where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Business. Jennifer was formerly employed as a TSA Agent and also by the United States Census Bureau. She was the proud matriarch of her family. Jennifer loved all the holidays and created beautiful memories for her family and friends. She enjoyed shopping and was an excellent bargain hunter! Jennifer was a lover of all animals. She found pleasure in spending time in her flower gardens.

Visitation for Jennifer will take place Friday, October 7, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 8, at 11:00 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Cremation will be private.
