Obituary of Shirley T. James

Shirley T. James nee Benzing, of Blue Island passed from this life Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the age of ninety-two.

Shirley was the beloved wife of the late Edward James Sr. She is the loving mother of Edward (Susan) James Jr. and David (Denise) James. Shirley is the devoted grandmother of David (Ashley) James, Lisa (Mike) James, Matthew (Ashley) James and Katie (Ben) James and the proud great grandmother of Melina Victoria and Madeline Anne.

Shirley was born November 11, 1930 in Blue Island, the only child of the late Lois nee Brady and the late Edward J. Benzing.

Visitation for Shirley will be held Monday, October 30, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Chapel prayers will begin Tuesday at 9:15 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island then to  St. Walter Church, 117^th St. and Western Ave., Chicago for mass at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at St. Benedict Cemetery in Crestwood.
