Obituary of Ramiro Rios

Ramiro Rios, 80, of Harvey, passed from this life Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

Ramiro was the beloved husband of the late Benita Rios who passed away in 2003. He is the dear long time partner of Maria Morales. Ramiro is the loving father of Rosario (Noe) Ornelas, Ramiro Rios Jr., Maria Rios, Ramon (Mary) Rios, Raquel Rios, Monica Rios, Diane Rios, and the late Rierrma Rios and the late Ramiro Rios Jr. He is the devoted grandfather of 24 , great grandfather of many and the uncle of Javier Juarez.  Ramiro leaves many other family members, especially Maria’s six children, and friends to cherish his memory. He will be dearly missed by all those who had the honor of knowing him.

Ramiro was born May 9, 1943 in Laredo, Texas to the late Cruz and Matilde Martinez Rios. He is retired from Blue M Electric Company.  Ramiro will forever be remembered as Daddi’o.  He loved to tend to his lawn, garden and keeping his cars washed.  Ramiro also enjoyed going to the casino and playing loteria with family and friends.  What will be missed the most is his ability to make his family laugh with his constant jokes.

Cremation was held privately.
