Obituary of Azucena Trevino

Azucena Trevino nee Gutierrez of Peotone, passed from this life Monday, January 1, 2024 at the age of eighty-three.

Azucena was the beloved wife of the late Abraham Trevino. She is the loving mother of Arturo Trevino, Raul Trevino, the late Jorge Trevino, Raquel Quirarte, the late Armando Trevino, Homero Trevino and Ana Laura Frausto.  Azucena is the devoted grandmother of twenty-one and proud great grandmother of seventeen. She is the cherished sister of Mario Cardenas, Juan Cardenas, Beatrice Jurado, Consuelo Pimetel, Norma Perez, San Juana Murillo, the late Noheimi Arias, and Patricia Mendez. Azucena leaves many other dear family members and friends to cherish her memory.

Azucena was born March 7, 1940 in Mexico to the late Francisco and the late Margarita Ledezma Gutierrez. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Azucena was proud of her home and always kept it sparkling clean. She appreciated a delicious meal and took pleasure in shopping trips to exclusive stores.

Visitation for Azucena will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Bethel Pentecostal Church, 2726 Broadway, Blue Island. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 am at the above church. Interment will be conducted at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
