Obituary of William S. Sobczak

William S. Sobczak of Blue Island, passed from this life Friday, March 15, 2024 at the age of sixty-nine.

William is the beloved father of Steve (Cory) Sobczak and Amy (Brandon) Richardella. He is the devoted grandfather of Leah Sobczak and William Sobczak. Bill was the loving brother of the late Carol Sobczak. He leaves many dear friends to cherish his memory.

William was born January 29, 1955 in Chicago to the late Natalie nee Michnick and the late Theodore Sobczak. Bill was formerly employed as a design and project draftsman for Coe Laboratories, now known as GC America of Alsip, and also by the City of Blue Island in the finance office. He enjoyed spending his time rebuilding old cars and was very skilled in photography. Bill was a lover of animals, especially dogs and fish.

Visitation for Bill will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 9:00 am until the time of prayer service at 11:00 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery.
