Obituary of Sam Valencia, Sr.

Sam Valencia, Sr. 81, formerly of Blue Island, passed from this life on May 17, 2024.

Sam was born June 24, 1942 in Dixmoor, Illinois to the late Jacinto and Angeline Valencia. He is beloved father of Sam, David, the late Mark, and Laura (Art) Frausto. Sam is the cherished grandfather and great grandfather to many. He is the fond Uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Sam is the dear brother to the late Josephine (late William) Schroeder, late Leona (late Rudolph) Ordaz, Lawrence (late Sandy) Valencia, late Francis (late Donna) Valencia and Marguerite (late Robert) Wicherek.  He leaves behind many other family members and friends to cherish his memory.

Sam spent his time working in maintenance as a handyman.  He was especially fond of classic cars.

Interment will take place at St. Benedict Cemetery in Crestwood on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 2pm Lot 16, Block 5, Section 6, Grave 1.
