Obituary of Ramiro Rios, Jr.

Ramiro Rios, Jr., 58, of Harvey, passed from this life Saturday, September 28, 2024.

Ramiro was born March 8, 1966 in Laredo, Texas and was the cherished son to the late Ramiro Rios Sr. and the late Benita Rios née Carrillo. He is the beloved ex-husband of Maribel Rios née Gandarilla. Ramiro is the loving father of Erica, Irene (Luis Zambrano), the late Ramiro Rios Jr. IV, Bianca, and Veronica (Luis) Marin. He is the cherished grandfather of five. Ramiro is the loving brother to Rosario Ornelas, Maria, Ramon, Raquel, Monica, Diane and the late Rierrma. He leaves many other family members and friends to cherish his memory.

Ramiro was an avid basketball and football fan and loved watching the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Bulls.

Visitation for Ramiro will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Avenue, Blue Island. Chapel prayers will begin Friday at 9:15 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, then to St. Benedict Church/St. Mary Magdalene Parish, 2339 York St., Blue Island for mass at 10:00 am. If you would like to contribute in Ramiro’s memory, donations to the family are greatly appreciated. Cremation private.
