Obituary of Carol J. Wojtyska
Carol Jean Wojtyska, age 85, passed from this life peacefully surrounded by her family at her home in Blue Island on December 17, 2024. Born on November 21, 1939, she lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her brothers Fred and Butch (Marge) and her sisters Shirley and Rita. She is survived by her brother Bill (Elaine) and her sister Marty. Carol had two daughters Kathi (Tena) and Tammie (Rob). She enjoyed the love of five grandsons Robbie (Sam), Jeremy (Yvita), Ricky, Tommy, Josh and one granddaughter Heather. Carol also had seven great grandkids Aiden, Tristan, Tyler, Ava, Damon, Cece and Morgan. She was the cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Carol was known for her ability to bring people together around the dinner table, creating delicious meals that will forever be cherished. She left behind a treasured collection of recipes that will continue to inspire and nourish future generations. Her cooking was a reflection of her love for her family and friends.
Beyond the kitchen, Carol was a devoted caregiver, always ready to offer comfort and support to those around her. She had a remarkable ability to listen and to show kindness in ways that touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Carol will be missed dearly by all those who knew her.
A memorial visitation will be held in Carol’s memory on Saturday, January 4th, 2025 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with the memorial service at 7:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Ave, Blue Island. Cremation is private.
Carol will forever be remembered for her love, her kindness, her delicious recipes, and her ability to make every moment a little sweeter. May she rest in peace.
