Obituary of Betty R. Toosley

Tribute & Message From The Family BETTY R. (ANDERSEN) TOOSLEY Betty R. (Andersen) Toosley, 87, a resident of Matteson, Il. and former resident of Blue Island, passed away peacefully at her home June 15, 2010. She was the daughter of Walter and Alma Andersen. Graduated from Blue Island High School in 1941 and then went to Whitewater College in Wisconsin. After a year of College she returned home and worked for the Telephone Company. She then was employed with Quality Stationary & Printers for 28 years and retired in 1983. Betty was a Job's Daughter at the age of 13 and former member in the Lion's Club as a Lioness. She was active with her church Guild and the ladies Luncheon Group from Quality. She was a Bronze Lifetime Bridge Master and member of the New Lenox Bridge Club. She was proceeded in death by her husband Warren Kelly Toosley, her brothers Richard (Doris) and Donald Andersen, her grandson Jeffrey Grede and her stepson Timothy Toosley. She is survived by her son Jim Head of Charlotte, NC, daughter, Jan (Fred) Grede of Hinsdale; her grandchildren, Angi (Jeremy) Spielman, Joshua and Michael Head; Jason and Jennifer Grede; her great grandchildren, Brianna Head, and Riley Spielman; her stepchidren, Warren Toosley, Karen (Timothy) Toosley; her step grandchildren, Warren, Eric and Brian Toosley; Kelly Sporleder and Chad Toosley. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 10:30 a.m., Evangelical Community Church, 2237 120th St., Blue Island, Il. 60406 In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church.
