I want you to know how Jack changed my life. Jack and Don Soderlund hired me to do some silk screening in 1952. The building was on 87th street. It was a part time job because I was going to Wilson Jr. College. They let me work 20 hours a week, 80 cents a hour, and only when it fit my schedule. They gave me a key so I could come at night to finish my 50 rolls of prints. When I finished Wilson I didn't know what to do. Jack said "you are going to the Art Institute of Chicago." I graduated in 1955 and went on to teach for 30 years in Chicago and became the Director, Bureau of Art, Chicago Public Schools. I retired 17 years ago and am an artist. When I became the Director, Jack was the first one I let know. If it wasn't for Jack, God knows what I would have done with my life. A very greatful fan. Bob Johnson
