Obituary of Dorothy M. Laird

Tribute & Message From The Family Dorothy M. Laird nee Laging, 95, formerly of Blue Island and Palos Heights, went to be with her Lord on Nov. 7, 2013. Beloved wife of the late John W. for 64 years, loving mother of Jack (Nancy), Linda Mackto and Donna (John) Garrity. Cherished grandmother of Brian (Lisa) Mackto, Michael (Sheila) Garrity, John B. Laird, Steven (Laura) Garrity, David Laird, Mark (Sarah) Garrity and J. P. Garrity. Proud great grandmother of seven. Dear sister of the late Ethel Lievan, Ruth Orphey, Jack Laging and Marian Krause. Dorothy was a life-long member of the First Ev. Lutheran Church of Blue Island. She was an active participant in church activities, including Ruth Circle, Workshop and Ladies Aid. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to First Ev. Lutheran Church or Gideons International will be greatly appreciated.
