William Amft Jr., 83, of St. John, Indiana, formerly of Blue Island. Beloved husband of the late Lucy nee Woods. Loving father of Hans, William (Gladys) and Josh (Barb). Cherished grandfather of Jeremy, Matthew, Jacob, Andrew, Benjamin and the late Tyler. Dear brother of Kevin (Betty) and Karen Reuss. Visitation Tuesday, April 21, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Funeral Wednesday 10:00 am at Christ Memorial United Church of Christ, 2440 York St., Blue Island. Interment First Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, Alsip. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Boy Scout Troop 561, P.O. Box 17, St. John, IN, greatly appreciated. William was a veteran of the United States Army.
