Obituary of Mildred Olga Rauch

Mildred O. Rauch nee Varga, 98, of Blue Island. Beloved wife of the late Robert L. Rauch. She is the loving mother of Roberta Lynn (David) Rauch-Boehlke. Mildred is the devoted grandmother of Michelle (Mark) Pittman and Rob (Lindsey) Culross and the cherished great grandmother of six. She was the dear sister of the late Molly Zima, Helen Haffner and Pauline Holly. Mildred was a lifelong resident of Blue Island and was a very active member of the community. She was the organist at the Krueger Funeral Home from 1949-1991, choir director and organist for St. Peter & St. Paul Lutheran Church of Blue Island, member of the St. Francis Auxiliary, Blue Island Womens Club, Blue Island Historical Society, The Rose Garden Society and Sokol Lodge of Chicago. "Her Life Was Her Family" Visitation Friday, February 3, 2017 from 10:30 am until the time of service at 11:30 am at Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Private interment at First Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, Alsip. Please omit flowers, memorial donations may be paid to Roberta Rauch for raising of the Paul and Mary Varga headstone at Beverly Cemetery.
