Obituary of Ruth L. Spurck

Ruth L. Spurck nee Amendt, 94, of Blue Island. She was the beloved wife of the late Edwin J. Spurck, who passed away March 9, 1996. Ruth is the loving mother of Mary Joan Baker, David (Sue) Spurck, William Spurck, Monica (Jim) Woolard, Madeline Spurck and Margaret Spurck. She is the devoted grandmother of Stephen Spurck, Kristina Baker, Vincent (Kristen) Woolard, Marjorie Woolard and Ralph Woolard and the cherished great grandmother of Lincoln. She was the dear sister of the late Hubert, who died in infancy in 1923. Ruth has resided in Blue Island since 1949 and was a devoted homemaker and mother. She was a faithful member of St. Benedict Parish. Ruth was a former leader of Girl Scout Troop 194. Visitation for Ruth will be held Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Chapel prayers will be conducted Friday, 8:30 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, then to St. Benedict Church, 2339 York St., Blue Island, for mass at 9:30 am. Private interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Peoria, IL. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to www.treehouseanimals.org or St. Benedict Church for masses, greatly appreciated.
