Obituary of Gerry Lee Osberg

Gerry Lee Osberg nee Appelman passed from this life Saturday, July 22, 2017. She leaves behind her best friend and cherished husband, Robert, whom she met when she was sixteen. Also her beloved son, James Patrick (Rebecca) Osberg of Bradley, IL, loving son Randy L. Osberg of Blue Island, cherished and special grandson, James Robert Osberg of Bradley, IL. She also leaves behind her loving brother, Michael (Linda) Appelman, other siblings, loving and kind brother, Philip Appelman of Chesterton, IN and Nicholas (Helen) Appelman of Chesterton, IN. She was preceeded in death by her parents Regina Marie Schinkonis and William Wheeler Appelman Sr., brother William Wheeler Appelman Jr. and beloved twin sister Jackie Lou Thorp.

Gerry was truly a remarkable person who lived life to its fullest. She lived in Blue Island for fifty years and was a lifetime member of the Blue Island Historical Society. She was a self taught artist and loved decorating and was a natural writer.

Visitation for Gerry will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, Cremation will be private.
