Obituary of Ralph Paul Luchene

Ralph Paul Luchene, 63, of Kirkland, IL, formerly of Blue Island, went to the Lord on August 18, 2017. He is the beloved son of the late Gerald Luchene and the late Irene Minnie nee Burmeister. Ralph is the loving brother of Linda Lukis (his godmother) and Doreen (Gene) Wood and the brother- in- law of Mary Ann Luchene. He was preceded in death by his siblings LaVerne Luchene, Gerald Luchene, Lawrence (his godfather) Luchene, Janet Cruz, Irvin Luchene, Donald Luchene, Alice Luchene and Wayne Luchene. He is the dear uncle, cousin and friend of many. Ralph also leaves family members and friends in Kirkland to cherish his memory; his beloved kitty, "Dolly", his niece Alicia Anne and her children Michael, Anthony and Devin.

Ralph and his family were members of First Ev. Lutheran Church of Blue Island, where he was baptized and confirmed. He also attended First Ev. Lutheran School, graduating in 1968 and then went on to Eisenhower High School, graduation class of 1972. Ralph continued his education at Chicago Academy of the Fine Arts, graduating in 1976.

Ralph lived his years as a Free Lance Artist, he enjoyed cooking, eating, singing, classical music and drawing. He was a "die hard" fan of both the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. Ralph attended First Lutheran Church of Kirkland as well as Thursday Bible Study. His motto in life was "Jehovah Jireh, the Lord will provide." Two things close to Ralph's heart was his God and his kitty, Dolly.

A memorial service celebrating Ralph's life will be held on October 7, 2017, at 10:00 am at Orland Park Christian Reformed Church in the Family Center,  7500 W. Sycamore Drive, Orland Park, which is 2 blocks west of 151st St & Harlem.
