Obituary of Richard W. Bohne

Richard W. Bohne, 93, passed from this life Sunday, September 17, 2017. He is the beloved husband of Marilyn nee Farmer, the couple have been united in marriage for almost 69 years.

Richard is the loving father and proud grandfather of the following families: Lynne (the late Ted) Howalt, their children, Tracy (Garrett) and Teddy, Joann (Bob) Doubrawa, their children Larry (Sabryna), Robbie, Libby, Lulu, Taisha and August, Pam (Don) Smith, their children, Bobbie Lee (Justin) and Joel, Rick (Carolyn) Bohne, their children, Rick (Casey), Carissa, Jim and Derek, and the cherished great grandfather of ten. He is the dear brother of Fred Bohne, Diane Bohne and the late Lester Bohne and Roy Bohne.

Richard was a United States Navy veteran, serving in WWII. He was a retired Operating Engineer, Local #150. Richard lived most of his life in Palos Heights, IL. He also lived in Summit Lake, WI for many years. Richard enjoyed spending time on the golf course, but most of all, quality time with his family and friends, sharing his stories and a smile.

Visitation for Richard will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, at 10:00 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, Oak Lawn.
