Obituary of Janice Lonell Soria

Janice Lonell Soria nee Runge, 65, of Blue Island, passed from this life Monday, October 23, 2017. She is the former spouse of Dominic "Tony" Soria Sr.. Janice is the beloved mother of Dominic (Susan) Soria Jr. and Joseph (Megan) Soria. She is the cherished grandmother of Amidala, Benjamin and Daniel. Janice is the loving sister of Pamela (Thomas) Barich and Gerald (Kim) Runge. She is the dear aunt, niece, cousin and friend of many.

Janice was currently employed at Eagles Hall in Blue Island where she supervised many of the events such as the Bunco Parties, she was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. Jan volunteered for numerous community organizations and was awarded "Woman Of The Year" for 2016 by the Blue Island Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the DDE class of 1970. Jan was beloved by the Blue Island community and never met a person who did not soon become her friend.

Visitation for Janice will be held Friday, October 27, 2017, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A short service of remembrance will be conducted at 6:30 pm during the visitation.

In celebration of Jan's life the family and friends will be gathering at the Eagles Hall, 2427 Grove St., Blue Island, after the service.
