Obituary of Hortense "Peachie" Trevino

Hortense "Peachie" Trevino, 76, of Oak Lawn, passed from this life Saturday, December 23, 2017. She was the beloved daughter of the late Helen nee Bravo and the late Henry Trevino. Peachie was the dear sister of the late Rudolph Trevino, Peter Luna and the late Juanita Bernal. She is the long-time and dear friend of Victoria Cruz. Peachie is the loving cousin of Beverly Zavala, Patricia Bravo, Rey Bravo, the late John Bravo, Bruce Bravo, Dennis Bravo, Steve Bravo and Michelle Bravo.

Peachie was formerly employed as a nurses aid at both St. Anthony Hospital and LaGrange Hospital. She was a very active member of the Oak Lawn Community. She volunteered at the Library and was a member of both the Garden Club and the Photography Club. Peachie enjoyed bowling, but her pride and joy was her home garden.

Visitation for Peachie will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Chapel prayers will begin Friday at 9:00 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, then to St. Donatus Church, 1939 Union St., Blue Island, for mass at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at St. Benedict Cemetery, Crestwood.
