Obituary of Emmie Jean LaHucik

Emmie Jean LaHucik nee Hujda, 99, of Flossmoor, passed from this life November 5, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Bruno LaHucik, who passed away September 17, 2008. Emmie Jean is the loving mother of Gerald (Patricia) LaHucik and Gene (Diane) LaHucik. She is the cherished grandmother of Carry LaHucik, Nicholas LaHucik and Matthew LaHucik and the devoted great grandmother of Brendan LaHucik, Sean LaHucik and Patrick LaHucik. Emmie Jean was the dear sister of the late Bernard Hujda, the late Viole Kogut, the late Emily Stosiek, the late Mary Jo Zmuda and the late Cecelia Wilakas.

Emmie Jean was born September 5, 1919 in Blue Island to the late Mary nee Solek and the late Joseph Hujda. She was a vivacios woman, living her life to the fullest. Emmie Jean enjoyed spending time in her garden.

Visitation for Emmie Jean will be held Monday, November 12, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm . Chapel prayers will begin Tuesday at 10:15 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, then to St. Benedict Church, 2339 York St., for mass at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at St. Benedict Cemetery, Crestwood.
