Obituary of Sylvester J. Pacanowski

Sylvester J. Pacanowski, 98, of Blue Island, passed from this life Monday, November 26, 2018. He was the husband of Nettie nee Gusek. Sylvester is the father of Judy Pacanowski and Audrey (Raymond) Frigo. He is the grandfather of Jennifer Frigo, Jacob (Katie) Frigo and Sara (James) Davis and the great grandfather of three. Sylvester was preceded in death by seven siblings. The family would like to give special thanks to Dimitre Dimitrov for his dedication and care giving for Sylvester.

Sylvester was a WWII Army veteran serving in Europe. He retired as a foreman from National Lead Company of Chicago after more than 35 years of service.  

Visitation for Sylvester will be held Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Chapel prayers will begin Friday at 9:15 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, then to St. Benedict Church, 2339 York St., Blue Island, for mass at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip.
