Obituary of Anna Maria Savino

Anna Maria Savino nee Vedutelli, formerly of Blue Island, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. She was born to Giuseppe and Theresa Vedutelli on June 3, 1931 in Naples, Italy. Anna Maria was the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Savino, and the loving mother of Joseph (Leslie Ann) Savino, John (Cindy) Savino, James Savino and Henry (Bernadette) Savino. She is the cherished grandmother of Amber, Alex, Katie, Collin, Vincent, Jason, Andrew and Michael, and the proud great grandmother of Ellen. She was the dear sister of the late Irena Variale (late husband Genaro), Rita Principe (husband Umberto), and late brother Tonino Vedutelli (late wife Marisa).
Anna Maria, was a dedicated wife, mother, and friend. She loved to tell stories and make people laugh. Anna Maria was a wonderful cook specializing in Italian cuisine. She was very caring and always welcomed family, friends, and even strangers into her home warmly. She worked for many years at St. Francis Hospital sorting and delivering mail to employees and patients. Anna Maria taught us a lot about life and faith, the importance of working hard, and never making excuses. She was Catholic, and today she is in heaven, with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Anna Maria will be dearly missed.
Visitation for Anna Maria will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Chapel prayers will begin Friday at 9:15 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island then to St. Benedict Church/St. Mary Magdalene Parish for mass at 10:00 am. Interment St. Benedict Cemetery, Crestwood.
